Janani Hariharan (she/they)

Principal Investigator

I am a Postdoc-to-Tenure Track Fellow at Bucknell University. Microbes have captivated my curiosity since college. I am interested in the community ecology of bacteria, and ways to use this knowledge to address pressing societal concerns. I’m also excited about science communication, connecting the natural sciences and humanities, and the science of how to teach well.

Undergraduate Researchers

Delaney Gordon

I conduct research to understand cross-feeding interactions between microorganisms.

Jasleen Dhillon (she/her)

I conduct research on soil decomposition and microbial activity associated with it.

Omolara Olatunji

I analyse marine bacterial genomes to find antibiotics genes clusters that can produce new antibiotics to combat antibacterial resistance.

I analyze microbial genomes to uncover the genetic adaptations that enable them to survive in the extreme alkaline conditions of soda lakes.
